US Senate Subcommittee holds first-ever hearings on solitary: On Tuesday June 19, US Senator Durbin (D-IL) convened a hearing (click here to watch hearing) in Washington, D.C. to investigate the use and abuse of solitary confinement in America. .

 

HRC's Report on Solitary Confinement submitted to Senate Judiciary Subcommittee

The Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Constitutional, Civil and Human Rights will hold the first national public hearing on the use and effects of solitary confinement in U.S. prisons.
